Sayali Bhagat
MISS INDIA MODEL & ACTRESS |
|
Date :- 25th October 2011
I am possibly writing the most uncomfortable
blog of my life.It started with some rumours
that I alleged Shiney Ahuja of indecent assault
for the magazine Glossy that first wrote this.
My last and final words were of "I denying this
on records".amongst witnesses.However,another
story shortly appeared in a publication about
the same matter since I did not react to the
same hoax story of I being pressurized to
withdraw charges (which never existed came
up).this news was apparently multiplied on
internet and social networking sites.
It was sad to learn two days back that I have
again accused certain other actors and
personalities of indecent assaults.Since now it
is important not to just reach out to the media
but to the public at large with this blog.I want
to reconfirm that I have not accused any actor
or personality.
Since I come from a family of generations of
lawyers and have been a Miss India I know the
value of my words and know them to use
judiciously.
About spreading of these rumours we have
identified a dubious talent agency who has
started these rumours .sent press notes and
multiplied by themselves,being involved.
Actions against the individuals/companies
directly or indirectly (which includes
individuals spreading on networking sites ) have
become compulsory.
I wanted to ignore the rumours but they have
grown out of proportion and have a dignified
stance .but it is the modesty of a woman which
is being outraged (which is cognizable under
section 509 of Indian Penal Code)
Since this episode has not only costed me
defamation but has mentally harasses me as well.
I want to put an end to all these baseless
rumours.
I have great respect for this Entertainment
industry and all the people in it.
It is my humble respect to Enjoy your
festivities and to ignore the false reports. |

On Scams & Corruption
Date :- 24 October 2011
With the
spirit of festivities around are we forgetting last
months heavy lowdown of protest which gave a blow to the
country. The man called Anna Haraze lead his way and
generated the spirit across the nation to fight back
against corruption. Today when it just strike my mind
how I wanted to be a part of this anti corruption
crusade, my presence was absent, but the spirit was very
much present.
This is the season of scams and the biggest ever
corruption cases in India have been unearthed more
recently. In our daily life, most of us must have been a
witness to or a victim of the corruption thriving in
some or the other part of the country. It could be in
the form of a taxi-driver manipulating the meter to
jack-up the reading or a government officer taking
bribery to promptly transfer your file to the next
department or even yourself offering bribe to a traffic
police on breaking a signal. An average Indian citizen
is hard working and diligent, but it is the people in
charge
of the
system, that act as a cancer spreading the venom,
slowing down the progress.
But, somewhere down the line, we ourselves are
responsible for allowing and being taken for a ride by
these people, aren’t we? However, it is during a
multi-thousand crore scam, that a tax-payer actually
realizes the heartburn of being cheated from his valued
contribution of funds towards the development and
well-being of the nation. But, that’s what a scam is, be
it big or small.
There are several medium and small scams taking place on
day to day basis in India with the blessings of ruling
party and police force apart from the top ones which are
shown on the news channels. It is very disheartening to
know that our leaders are acting the way they are.
People elect the politicians to take decisions on their
behalf, is this what they are doing for the betterment
of the people?
May God grace them with utmost wise thoughts and deeds. |

Of
Gods and queue-breakers
10 September 2011
Day after day, anything and everything around us is
getting commercialised.
People are getting greedy and cunning. Just because you
are a celebrity, you get things on demand. This is a
kind of partiality, because every individual has equal
rights to seek blessing of its God.
A case in point: Just yesterday, I went to Lalbaugcha
Raja. What I came to know after talking to a few
devotees standing in long queues is that they were
standing for more than 12 hours for darshan just for a
glimpse of their favourite deity. However, A-listers get
instant access. How ridiculed would you feel if you were
made to wait for hours at a stretch, and someone was
allowed to go ahead just because they're famous and
influential.
And if that wasn't discriminating enough, what followed
was even more striking. If you thought it only existed
between the layman and the rich and influential, the
Lalbaug committee and the media personnel even
discriminate between A-List film stars and B-Listers.
I have been ridiculed and taken aback after knowing
this. I seriously feel VIP darshan should be snapped
completely and even celebrities should be treated
equally just as anyone else coming for darshan.
Could the initials of your last name influence your
career?
06 August 2011
I have been in the industry for almost five years and
there is so much that I have experienced. It’s not so
easy as it appears to be. The whole phenomena of being a
Bollywood star is so much different than assumed. Having
been won the Femina Miss India Title is a great thing
indeed. In fact, it’s every girls dream. It easily
earned me a ticket to Bollywood having given a
blockbuster. But the hardships which are followed later
to sustain to be in the top list is no easy task.
Thought today I should share this in my blog my
experience.
With friends follow a lot of foes and these foes could
harm you could blemish your name in the industry. It can
be a lot more that one can’t even imagine about. Every
word and statement is watched out for. In fact, it could
just even be that someone may dislike you for damn no
reason and you could fall prey to circumstances that you
could not even think about.
Also every statement you make you have to be careful you
have to watch your words as it could be blown out of
trumpet and you have to face the music for something you
never intended to do. Nothing goes unnoticed and there
are attitude problems one has to go through. Having a
godfather or a big………. is a huge plus, no one dares open
their mouth against you; to an extent, they’d be scared
even to offend you.
A lot of back-stabbing and politics is what takes place,
especially if you are a newcomer. The ones who have a
strong backup are favoured big time. Sometimes it gets
annoying that there is not much opportunity to look
forward to. Getting snubbed by your seniors is turning
very much common.
At times, it feels terrible to be a soft target all the
time and trust me this feeling makes you feel so low
that even when you try to divert your attention it just
doesn’t work. When I feel low I think about my favorite
star Shah Rrukh Khan who survived and made himself a
biggie on the silver screen.
I prefer to stay in my own company when I am shooting
and I like my own private space I am not even a social
animal I don’t party that often but I like it this way
as my mind is at a peaceful state. Har Din Hain Mushkil
Jeena Yahan Yeh Hai Bollywood yeh Hain Bollywood Meri
Jaan
The times they are a-changin'
26 July 2011
I feel so nostalgic going down memory lane and
cherishing and recounting the time I was so new in the
industry. I had just won the Miss India-World, pageant
and was all set to enter the film industry with a bang.
I believe I was so lucky to make my debut with Emraan
Hashmi, who was already a star then. Such a wonderful
start to my career! The pros and cons of the industry
were so different back then.
Ever since, the competition has increased incredibly but
there is much scope and many new opportunities to chase.
Everything seems to have changed in a big way. What is
most noticeable is the fact that today’s audiences have
also changed their mindset.
They are ready to accept new things, so you have ample
experiments happening. If fashion is to be considered,
the golden era is back with a tinge of revival. Trends
seem to be repeating themselves with the return of polka
dots, sarees and anarkalis. There’s also a significant
difference in the way movies are made. No more the
dilemma of the big budget movies being the only key to
success. An unusual storyline and an altogether
different pattern of storytelling has gone too well with
the audiences.
From cabaret to disco dances, it’s now raining item
numbers which is a must to make your movie a
blockbuster. There have been back-to-back release of hit
numbers that grabbed eyeballs. Unlike the girls donning
the item girl’s tag it was more of item boys who reigned
Bollywood with their dance moves. Right from Aamir to
Shah Rukh, all of them came and conquered. Moreover, the
entire concept of Hollywood films being an inspiration
to our filmmakers seems to have taken a back seat now
movies from down south being more often considered now.
Change is inevitable with so much more to learn every
day with tough competition from contemporaries. However,
there’s a lot more to explore as there is enough place
for everyone in the industry but what is of prime
importance is to have a distinct identity. |
